Leadership

Meet our Hall Leadership Team!

4th West has one Community Coordinator (CC) and three Residential Life Assistants (RLAs) living on hall to support our residents during their time at NCSSM. Get to know a little bit about us here!

Community Coordinator

Hello! My name is Ethan Pardue, and I am your Community Coordinator on 4th West. In this role, it is my responsibility to build a caring and engaging hall community, and to support the studies, social lives, and growth of each of my students on hall. It is my hope that 4th West will come to feel like a home away from home for you during your time at NCSSM!

I was born and raised in Nashville, North Carolina, and am excited to return to my home state after four years away completing my undergraduate studies. I graduated from Harvard College as a member of the Class of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and secondary coursework in psychology. While I did not attend NCSSM as a student, I am happy to be here now as a member of the Student Services team.

During college, I spent two summers as a resident advisor with the Harvard Summer School's Secondary School Program and served as a hometown ambassador to Nash County, North Carolina, for the Harvard College Admissions Office. I am especially passionate about preparing students from under-resourced rural areas for their college experience, but love having conversations about how to get ready for life after high school with students from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

I also have a longstanding love for all things music. I sang with the a cappella group "Under Construction" at Harvard from 2015 to 2019, interned at Geffen Records in California during January 2019, and have performed in musical theatre showcases since I was in high school. I began exploring songwriting and vocal music composition while in college, and would be happy to share any of these interests and many more with the students at NCSSM.

Residential Life Assistants

Henry

Hi, my name is Henry Thomas and I’m going to be one of your RLA’s this coming year on 4W. I am from Charlotte, and attended Gray Stone Day School before coming to smath. I really like coding and math, but am most passionate about creating art and performing! I specifically like dance and theatre, so this coming year I will be a Bailamos captain and Drama Board member. I am also really passionate about activism, and will serve as a Feminist Club and Spectrum officer this coming year. This past year I enjoyed the various hall events, such as face mask nights, and am looking forward to keep 4W ~glowing~ and thriving this year! :-)

Amine

Hello and welcome to 4W! I'm Amine Bit and I'll be one of your RLAs this year. I'm from Charlotte and went to the great Phillip O'Berry Academy of Technology before coming to NCSSM. This year at NCSSM I'll be involved in Student Government as a Co-Director of State Relations and a Summer Leadership and Research Program PA. In my free time, I enjoy listening to hip-hop and talking with friends. Some of my favorite memories from the hall last year were just hanging out with some of my hallmates and I hope to replicate those experiences as best as I can even though many of you will be online. I fell in love with 4W last year and I hope to make this year a memorable one for all of you!

Isaac

Hello, I’m Isaac Simon and I will be one of your RLAs for this year. I’m from Brevard and am looking forward to being as helpful as I can during these hard times. I enjoy hip-hop, politics, skating, rock climbing, and fashion, and always love having conversations with my hallmates. I really enjoyed last year and getting to know my hallmates as well as Ethan, I’m excited to have another great year with everyone!
