The two best ways to contact me are by email and by phone. Either way, you can expect a response within 24 hours, barring extenuating circumstances.
Due to the nature of my day-to-day work schedule, I may not see a voicemail right away, however, I check my email regularly throughout the day. I also work nights on a regular basis, so I ask that you wait until after noon to call unless it is an emergency.
If you need immediate assistance and I am unavailable, contact the Bryan Desk at 919-416-2825 to speak with an on-duty Community Coordinator or Campus Safety & Security Officer.
I am from the southern part of the state, coming from Robeson County in a little town called Orrum (10-20 minutes outside of Lumberton, NC). I attended NCSSM from 2019-2021, before continuing on to earn a Bachelor's of Science in Biology (Zoology concentration) from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. While attending UNCP, I worked as both a residential advisor and as a research assistant in the biology department. During my time as a research assistant, I studied insects and ecology through a study on the dietary relationships between honeydew insects and invasive fire ants.
While I am new to the community coordinator position at NCSSM, I am excited to share my passions and engage with the students to make their time here fun and exciting! I am a nerd and nature enthusiast at heart, and hope to share my passions with the students to help them form friendships, explore the world around them, and have fun while they are here learning!

Hi, I'm Christian Burnett, one of your RLAs this year, and I hail from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Coming to NCSSM was one of the best decisions I made in high school, and I want to help you all to feel that too, so here is a little about me! I enjoy working with my hands and engaging in activities where I can build something, such as woodworking, LEGOs, and robotics. But I also love helping people out whenever in however I can, whether that be academically or personally, so don't feel afraid to reach out! Have a great year!
Hey everyone! My name is Wesley Auman, and I am from Biscoe, North Carolina! I am a devout Christian who hopes to study Biomedical Engineering after high school. Some things I love to do in my free time are working out, playing sports, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. I love making new friends, and I cannot wait to meet all the new hall members! My junior year at NCSSM was the best year of my life, and as your RLA, I cannot wait to help give you all the same experience I was so blessed to have. Please feel free to reach out, and I can't wait to see what this year has in store!
